The Rebel Rats

Like most abhumans in the Imperium, the ratlings of the 38th Necromundan Lasrifle Sniper Platoon, known more familiarly as "The Rebel Rats,"  hail from a different planet than Necromunda.  The majority of these ratlings were survivors of the War of Mutant Aggression, a nasty conflict in a remote corner of the universe which saw nearly the entire ratling population wiped out in only a few years.  Led by Sarge and his Chief Sniper "Tex,"  these plucky little bastards have carved out a niche in the 38th, mainly by drawing enemy fire away from more valuable troops.  Aided by some mercenary ratlings from the Sumpwater Company, these guys have killed their fair share on the battlefield.  The platoon motto is, "We'll shoot your eye out!"

Here are Mad Donna's girls from House Escher.  I haven't picked a name for them yet, but they'll likely be broken into a heavy weapons squad of 3 heavy bolters, and the plasma gunner will join an infantry squad.

Mad Donna herself.  She will act as a "Lord Commissar" for the regiment, ensuring the hive scum stay in the fight or face the wrath of her chainsword and stilettos. 

It Begins

New Year's Resolution: Build and paint a 2000 point Imperial Guard Army by the end of 2013, and win 5 games against 5 different opponents.  The army is Mad Donna's 38th Necromundan Lasrifles, a light infantry regiment of the Imperial Guard raised primarily from the dregs of the underhive in Hive Primus, Necromunda.  I've got a solid start on the painting and most of the models, but I have a long way to go.  I'll see you on the battlefield!
